Hermione Granger vs Mary Poppins

Drawings I did last weekend! I took everything that was in my bag out and drew it. (if you click on the drawings you can see them bigger.)

I was sick and stayed inside the whole weekend - anyway it was raining  again so no regrets... And actually, spending hours drawing and painting without thinking about anything made me feel real good and I was feeling recreated when I went back to work on monday.

Sometimes I also have other things in my bag, like a book, a cup for coffee, nespresso doses, chocolate, my umbrella, reading glasses, a scarf... It's a Mary Poppins bag!

Now yesterday evening I saw the last Harry Potter movie with my daughter (it was awesome!!) and I can tell you Hermione's bag beats Mary Poppins's bag by far!

This looks like a good drawing inspiration, I am always inspired by other peoples drawings. I have not yet seen the Harry Potter film but am listening to the audiobooks, they are fantastic.

Wow! I was impressed with your drawing and painting - AND also with the 4 sets of keys! Lovely.

You've done wonderfully with the sketching and the painting! It looks heavy though!

I am inspired to do this same thing--great idea! I loved seeing all the items---winna

Nice pages. It will be fun to look back later and see what you kept in your purse at this time. It's like a time capsule! And, I can see how just drawing what is in front of you when you aren't feeling well can help. Hope you did feel better quickly.

It's strange that I just yesterday drew my keys! I like your drawings! Love how you colored backgrounds in different colors. Very nice!

Oh yes, the items one keeps in a purse. What a rich source of inspiration! What impressive apges! My main thought when I looked at your collection was this: I cannot live without lip balm. Whenever I try to imagine myself into historical fantasies (Colonial America, perhaps, or Medieval Europe) I panic whenever I think about dry lips sans Chapstick. How weird is that?

Excellent paintings and a lot of fun! And you're right about Hermione vs. Mary Poppins. But my wife's bag beats them both!

Great sketches - you do carry interesting stuff! Nice to have it all there for inspiration. Hope you are now fully recovered.

Great sketch. How do you carry coffee in your bag???? Hope you feel better now and the rain has stopped.

I absolutely LOVE all the keys! Those skeleton keys especially. I too carry chap stick, but in my pocket. You are fantastic at the details and the color, oh my your color!!!

A well done display. You made even the most simple fun!

LOL...I meant the bag looks like it would be heavy, not that your painting looks heavy! I'm constantly on the lookout for ways to make my bag lighter, since my shoulders and neck hurt otherwise. Lately I've been using a backpack style purse and I can load as much as I want. (Though I don't think I look so stylish! )

haha--you fit a lot of stuff into your bag! These are fun colorful pages and I enjoyed snooping into your purse! ;-) I often feel refreshed after doing some sketches. It's kind of like meditating.

That looks like it was fun! Great drawings, and a very good idea - I might empty my own bag and see what I come up with.

Great sketches and you did an awesome job for not feeling well and still drawing. We love Harry Potter here, too, and I'll just bet Hermione's bad ruled. :)
