Des feuilles

My last post for 2010, I think! I'm at last daring to draw some leaves and other natural things... not realistic yet, just having fun with shapes and colors, but I'll get there (maybe. unless something else grabs my attention!).

I've been playing with watercolors for three years, more or less, and I still don't really know what's going to happen when I use them... must be a very slow learner. And I don't feel like working on it, at all. This is my playground, no "must do" allowed!
I thought the negative version was cool, so here goes :

I have no resolutions for 2010. I can't be more serious and perfect that I am already, so why would I make resolution? Oh, you think I'm kidding, I'm sure!
I have a wish list, though. It's very small and I won't tell to keep me luck.
See you next year!

I love these leaves also, I think its much more enjoyable when you don't know the 'rules'. These look great anyway. I love the way the colours blend

Wow! Such wonderful, rich colors! Aren't watercolor paints fun? I like the mystery of not knowing what they'll do. Your leaves are nicely done.

Beautiful, BEAUTIFUL leaves! What you do is fantastic!
Happy New Year. I'm with you on the no resolutions. :-)) And I'm keeping my wish list secret too.
See you next year!

Absolutely gorgeous alive color and a fun layout. I like all the little doodles in each box. I'm just starting to use watercolors, and I'm in love with them already. In fact, right now I'm doing a painting of tiny hippos sitting in my watercolor box.

The colors are so rich and vibrant! And the overall composition on both pieces is very engaging.

Really nice ones Kazumi!
:) My last post was the Christmas cards for my friends... I don't have time unfortunately to do more art while my friend from Germany is here for a visit. =) I'll have a fresh new start NEXT YEAR! Happy New Year ;)

These leaves have such great color to them! It's a wonderful study. I'm still thinking about whether I'll make resolutions or not; it does seem that I set myself up for failure when I do! So, you have a great point...just to ENJOY what you're doing, whatever it is!

Have a great New Year's!!

Happy New Year! I love your leaves! Loads of color on the page which is really nice. I don't really have any resolutions either. Just keep on keeping on is my biggest thought so far.

I've picked up watercolors a few times over the past 15 years, and each time, I don't know what will happen and the results are invariably bad. Yours look great though - playful too.

Ooohhh....love the leaves...the colors are great, and it doesn't look like there's anything wrong with your watercolor skills. I'm so afraid of them that I don't even try!
