Fish, squares, collage, blabla

These are a few things I made this summer, while I was discovering and experimenting with acrylics.  I forgot to post them and since I have nothing new to show you, here they are.

Some of these fish vaguely look like real mediterranean fish, the first one is all wrong, nothing I did could save him.

Testing colors and working with tape.

Collage - it's a lot more technical than I thought. The paper doesn't stay flat. Need to work on this. Had fun with it, anyway!

I wanted to thank all of you who commented on my last post, on the boat painting I made for my father. I was really nervous about it and you helped a lot!
I don't know if he liked it. He seemed to appreciate it, said it was nice, but then, he also said my hair was nice that one time I had a problem with my color and it turned orange. I learned later that he really thought it was particularly ugly and unfitting. My father is polite that way.

I sold my flat = great. I still haven't found a place to rent and I'm out of my place in  33 days = a bit nervous right now, and I don't have much time or desire for drawing...

I'm in total agreement with you about the politeness of fathers! So true. But I KNOW he loved that painting! You've done some really cool stuff with acrylics!! Thank you for posting it!

The fish looked fun to do - were they?

I like the boat painting, so hopefully your father liked it quite a bit better than your hair accident.

I love that fish painting! Even if the first fish isn't representative of a real fish, I would certainly never know it since I know nothing of fish! Wow...is that poorly stated or what! Great work on all this. I don't think your hair will be the same situation as the boat painting. Good luck finding a new place to live and congrats on selling yours!

Im sure your father loves the boat painting... He just doesnt understand the latest fashion styles when it comes to hair... And dont you worry, my dad on the other hand would have told right to my face and then he would have shared his thought on it to others... He never beat around the bush, lol. I like your fish and like Jenna wrote, it looks like you had fun working on them.

These are fun and I love the colors. And yes, congratulations on the sale of our flat. Don't be nervous - you'll find just the perfect place to land! And, of course your dad likes the painting ... it's great! nancy

I'm praying you find a place you love and soon!

I love your fish piece! It's really neat. I hope your dad loved the boat pic but if not, at least he knows you tried to do something special for him and that counts even more.

Love your work as always Kazumi =) Especially the way you color your subjects...the fishes are amazing, and then there's this very artistic way of you compiling everything together in such a classy manner.

Thanks for your comments too.
