I've been slowly reading! On the left book two of "a feast for the crows" by George RR Martin. I love this series, beautifully written and captivating. I liked this volume better than the previous one, but I felt it was long, sometimes. I hate the character who gets the more pages, the horrible Cersei. And I miss Jon, Bran, Aria and Thirion.
On the right is a lovely little book from Iceland and it's a warm and original story, about love, cooking, roses, fatherhood and family, but you've got to read the book to see for yourself, I'm not doing it justice. (title is "Rosa Candida").
And I've also been drawing a lot, from photos, and very fast with my pen. Like always I'm amazed how easier it becomes when I draw a lot.
Faces from various magazines, like "Psychologies", Elle, Geo, and teenager stuff belonging to my daughter ^^!
We've had snow in my area, but not right where I live. I hope we'll have a little bit of snow this year!

these faces are great, well done, good luck with the snow. What a good idea to draw your favourite books as well
Amazing faces, a good way to practice!
I am ever so amazed by you keeping a consistent theme of drawing book covers and faces from random places... =) they are great themes and I love them. Whenever you have a new post, I'd always be expecting them...kinda like a kid expecting mommy cooking when he's come back from playing outside...it's a very nice feeling
As always, some lovely pages!
I am imagining that, seeing the many portraits, that you sketch them rather quickly, and still manage to capture the individual characters. I also admire the vivid colors in your work.
"Rosa Candida" is out in English but not available at the moment at Amazon. I will have to wait. Have you read, "Like water for Chocolate"? Somehow when reading the summary of the book, I was reminded of this one.
I don't know how you do it all! And you do it all so well.
You could write a book review blog (well I guess you already do)-- such a prolific reader!
Your faces are stunning. I love how you work with light and shade. Terrific work.
Love the books and the faces. :-) Really well done.
I'm new to the whole drawing thing and haven't done faces yet. I love your work and the fact that you say doing it more makes it easier. You have encouraged me to try!
Wow! You have gotten so GOOD at these faces! I remember when you first started them...how tentative some of your lines looked. And now here you are, looking very confident! And they books, as always are drawn so well, but what really draws me in is the color!
These are so good. This quick practice allows you to get through a lot of sketches, so I imagine you are seeing improvement in your drawing. It's an inspiration.
Wonderful faces! what a great idea for practice.
